🌸 How To Create an Easy but Gorgeous Floral Table Centrepiece

✨ The Look We’re Creating

We are creating a lush floral runner with glowing tealight candles, floating pearls, and a luxe finish. It gives elegance and romance.

🛒 Materials You’ll Need

Here’s everything to recreate this beauty:

1. Faux Florals and greenery(Your Colour Choice): Choose colours that match your theme.

I buy my florals mostly from Shein but if you are looking for something more specific then here are some online retailers to check out. Bear in mind, these are pricier.

2. Insulation tubes or swimming noodles. - They are usually around 150cm to 200cm long and you can find them on shein as well. For the insulation tubes, you can find them in any DIY store or website such as B&Q. They do come in different diameters.

3. Decorative Water Beads - I loves these and the effect they create. Click the title at the start for where I buy mine.

4. artificial pearl crystals - available in lots of different colours.

5. Cable ties - because you will be using two tubes side by side, you will need cable ties that are betweeen 35cm to 40cm in lenght. If you have shorter ones, not to worry, you can connect two cable times together to make one long one. That's what I did for this installation.

7. 6 wine glasses depending on how long your runner will be. Note that these are not essential. It just depends on the look you are going for.

   
   

   Step-by-Step Instructions

   Step 1 – Create Your Base

   Lay two insulation tubes / pool noodles side by side along the centre of the table.

   💡 Tip:Cut them to match table length if needed.

   
   
   
   

   Nestle the wine glasses between the tubes about 7 - 10cm apart and tie between each wine glass with your cable ties. Cut off any excess part of the cable ties. Watch this process in my video on youtube.

   
   

   Step 2 – Adding your florals

Now start by adding your greenery on either side of the tubes to cover the tube. You will need to do this evenly across the whole lenght of the tubes. When you get to either ends of the tube, you want to add more greenery. Focus on the upper sides of the tubes as the greenery will cover the lower sides of the tube. Think about the shape you want to achieve. You may layer your greenery so that some are longer than others or you may want to keep them all the same lenght.

Next add your choice of flowers. I start with the larger buds/flower heads and I place them on either sides of the tube. Again with the flowers, I like to create a layered effect by having a mixture of tall stems and short stems. Then add your filler flowers to add texture and fullnes to your creation.

Styling Tip:

When adding florals, place them in small clusters of three rather than spacing them evenly. Odd-number groupings are more pleasing to the eye and create a softer, more organic, designer-style finish. Clusters of three add:

✨ A fuller, more luxurious look

step 3 - add the luxe candle feature.

Your water beads will come in tiny clear pellets and will need to be soaked in water for a few hours before they turn into the beautiful clear balls you see in the videos. Just follow the instructions on the packet. Once your beads are ready, add a few into each of your wine glasses. To create a layered effect with the pearls, add the first layer of beads, then add one or 2 pears of differing sizes. Next ads annother layer of beads then one or two pearls and finally add another layer of beads. Only fill the cup up to half way with the beads because they will rise as soon as you add water. Once water ha been added. You will see the beautiful effect that is created as the pearls will look like they are suspended/floating in the glass.

Finally, step back and see if everything looks balanced and well arranged.
